Claremont: Tree works at the Embankment

The Malpas Three have arranged for the coppicing and other tree works to be carried out on the old railway embankment at Claremont. The work will commence on Monday 13th March. (Weather permitting)

The team will start along the path area and around all the lamp columns, then progress with the coppicing. As the trees become accessible, our Tree officer will meet with the contractor to inspect the trees for stability and health and safety and decisions on tree removal or retention will be made on site as work progresses.
Given the extremely overgrown nature of the site, until the coppicing and cutting back works are undertaken, it is reasonable to assume that some unexpected tree problems may crop up resulting in additional works. The path may be closed for safety reasons during the work.
